Hütte Kit

Miniature is one of the refuges of greatness.

The Hütte Kit Project is a contemplation of urban space and, in particular, the environments of corporate offices. Handmade kits containing instructions and building materials for tiny huts are distributed to various office worker friends. Participants construct then hide the models in unnoticed workplace areas (behind printers, beneath desks, etc.). The presence of the huts represents the establishment of a fictional and illicit micro-colony inside of the tightly controlled architecture of work and commerce. Participants are asked to imagine and to write about the lives that their proto-colonists experience in these environments.
